Ashley Solorio | 2x Scholarship Recipient
After a difficult and painful gym class, Ashley made a trip to the doctor’s office, where she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2014. Her chemotherapy lasted 2 and a half years. During this time, Ashley experienced a severe reaction to her chemotherapy which resulted in her being unconscious for a week. After intense physical and occupational therapy, Ashley has been able to regain a majority of her strength. Ashley has been able to remain positive and resilient due to the support of her family and friends. She currently attends California Lutheran University and is majoring in Business Administration.
